Field trip to Rauschenberg at GRAM

Inspiration can live outside the walls of the office. In fact, most of the time I think it does. Driving in the car, listening to music, reading a book… or perhaps taking a stroll through a world class art museum.

That last part, the one about the museum? Our designers made that trip on Friday, Feb. 3. We couldn’t pass up an invitation to the Grand Rapids Art Museum’s just-opened Robert Rauschenberg exhibition. Inspiration served up on a platter, and just 0.6 miles away!

Rauschenberg’s desire for layering and visual textures reminds me that complexity can be beautiful. And the conversation between those layers can be an important one. Sometimes the intricacies of a solution can be the draw.
